Spacious Seating with Plenty of Brawny Power
The 2021 GMC Yukon is one of the few remaining SUVs with a beefy V8 engine and seating for eight. GMC redesigned the iconic classic and gave it more of what families love. Along with more room, the redesigned model is better equipped than previous generations, making it even more attractive to families who need the three rows and noteworthy towing capacity.
Three High-Performance Engine Choices
The 2021 Yukon comes with two V8 engines: a 5.3-liter and a 6.2-liter. The smaller version delivers 355 horsepower while the larger one offers 420 horsepower. The 5.3-liter V8 is standard on all but the Denali trim. Buyers can also opt for a 3.0-liter Duramax inline-six turbo diesel engine with 460 lb-ft of torque. The turbo-diesel engine is available on all trims. Depending on the configurations, the Yukon can tow up to 8,400 pounds.
All Yukon models come with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard rear-wheel drive. Buyers can choose to add all-wheel drive to all trims, and the AT4 model includes a two-speed transfer case along with all-terrain tires for plenty of off-road fun. Drivers who choose the AT4 packages can also add optional air suspension for a smooth, confident drive.
Impressive Interior and Exterior Specs and Features
The interior specifications on the 2021 Yukon are impressive. Each model has up to 122.90 cubic feet of cargo space with the second and third rows folded. With all three rows in place, drivers get 25.50 cubic feet of cargo space.
Along with noteworthy cargo space, the Yukon interior has comfortable seating for eight. However, many buyers choose to change the second row from a bench for three to captain’s chairs for two. The upper trims include a power-sliding center console that sits on a 10-inch track, giving passengers more room for their stuff in the front or second row. Buyers can also choose from several available seating trims, including premium cloth and various grades of leather. All of the trims except the SLE come with heated and ventilated front seats. Heated second-row seats are standard on the Denali trim.
On the outside, the Yukon comes standard with 18-inch wheels. The Denali trim comes standard with 20-inch wheels, but buyers can add 22-inch wheels in various finishes on all trims, even the base SLE. A panoramic sunroof is available on all trims, except the SLE. Buyers can also add a trailering package on all trims.
Plenty of Driver-Assistive Features
All models come standard with Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front and Rear Park Assist, Following Distance Indicator, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Intellibeam LED headlights. The GMC Yukon comes with several available safety packages. The SLE has an available package that includes Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. The SLE and SLT come standard with an HD Rearview Camera, while the Denali trim comes with an HD Surround View Camera.
The AWD Yukon received a four-star crash safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Like other GMC and GM models, the Yukon comes standard with OnStar connectivity and safety systems.
Well-Equipped Technology Features
All 2021 Yukons come with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment display with IntelliLink, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Buyers can upgrade to add an available Bose audio system and factory navigation. Drivers get their information from an 8-inch display. The Yukon comes with several 120-volt power outlets. The upgraded trims come with a driver memory system for two people.
Buyers can also choose to add a Rear Seat Media System with a pair of 12.6-inch color LCD HD screens on the front seatbacks. They come with Wi-Fi wireless projection capability, a pair of wireless infrared digital headphones, and Bluetooth compatibility.
Test Drive the Yukon Today
The 2021 GMC Yukon is a beautiful and spacious vehicle inside and out. Even with the redesign, the Yukon still retains its timeless and iconic appearance and capacious interior. With plenty of safety features and high-tech equipment, drivers can confidently use the Yukon to bring their families where they need to go.
